Front Porch Pediatrics is a membership-based pediatric practice in Houston rooted in the simple idea that healthcare should feel personal, unhurried, and deeply human.

As a direct primary care practice, families pay a simple monthly membership with no insurance billing, no copays, and no surprise costs. In return, your child gets a dedicated pediatrician who has the time to listen, the availability to be reached directly by text or call, and the relationship to truly know your family.

While we don't bill insurance, we do recommend families maintain a health insurance plan for emergencies, hospitalizations, and specialist care.

We provide preventive and well child care including routine checkups, growth and developmental screening, vaccinations, and vision or hearing screening.
Newborn and Infant Care

We provide newborn and infant care including home visits, feeding support, weight checks, and early developmental monitoring.
Sick and Acute Care

We provide sick and acute care for common illnesses, infections, fevers, rashes, and sudden symptoms.
In-Office Specialty Care

We provide in-office specialty care that includes minor procedures, in-office rapid testing for common concerns, and coordinated lab and diagnostic testing.
Sports and School Physicals

We provide sports and school physicals including comprehensive exams and required clearance forms.
Chronic Condition Care

We provide chronic condition care for asthma, allergies, eczema, ADHD, and other ongoing health concerns.

Hi, I’m Dr. Jenna Penland

A board-certified pediatrician and mom of four who believes the best medicine starts with warmth, trust, and truly knowing your family.

I built Front Porch Pediatrics to offer pediatric care that is unrushed, personal, and grounded in real relationships.

The front porch represents a welcoming place where conversations are natural, questions are encouraged, and children feel at ease.
